Nikki Cruz started her entertainment career on television as a teenager, growing up on a military base in Seoul, South Korea. She first appeared as a singer and dancer on a hit TV show called “Young Parade.” When she turned 18, Nikki moved to San Antonio, Texas to attend college. While enrolled in her school’s mass communication program, she began working at radio station KSSR, hosting the evening show “San Antonio After Dark.” In later years, she became the midday personality for KONO. Since radio did not pay very well, Nikki supplemented her income by modeling for companies such as Lee Jeans and Miller Beer.
Nikki moved to Tampa in 1999 and became the traffic reporter for WFLA TV, News Channel 8. She has also worked for WMOR, More TV 32 as the host of “Chick Flicks.” Her long list of radio station gigs in Tampa include WWRM, WSSR, WMTX, and WSJT.
Nikki Cruz joined Q105′s “Mason in the Morning” as co-host and news anchor in 2007.
Here’s something that not many people know about Nikki. She has a Master’s degree in mental health counseling, and moonlights as a part-time therapist.
