Wanna stick it to the big oil companies?

Hybrids, electric cars… they’re expensive and will run out of juice. But check out this car that was shown this week at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Elio Motors says it’ll deliver up to 84 miles a gallon. How fast can it go? 100 MPH in 10 seconds. It has a top crash impact rating. And it could be available as soon as next year for $6,800. I’m in.

It seems like half motorcycle half car.

Ever notice how short people like big tanks? I’m 6’4 and I like sleek. I drove a BMZ Z3 for about 5 years. It felt like driving a go cart. It was fun, but sucked for long road trips. I don’t know though… I think I’ll want one of these.

There’s a small seat behind the driver, but it’s pretty much designed for the solo commuter.

What do you think? The Elio Motors web site has more.
