The space shuttle Atlantis, the last to fly in space, goes on public display at the Kennedy Space Center visitors complex Saturday.
It’s the centerpiece of a $100 million facility designed to show off the spaceship as it appeared in orbit, with its payload bay doors open and robot arm extended. A “hi-fi” recreation of the Hubble Space Telescope and dozens of interactive experiences round out the new attraction.
Admission is $50.
Bring a camera, because many of the astronauts that flew on atlantis will be there today for the exhibit’s grand opening!
