This is the definition of insani-tea.

A billboard advertising a silver tea pot from JCPenney is raising eyebrows for its supposed similarity to former German dictator Adolf Hitler. (Scroll down for the link to see the ad.)

Pictures of the advertisement have gone viral, after people claimed the curvature of the kettle’s black handle looked like the Nazi leader’s hairline.

The tea pot even has a black cap that some believe looks like Hitler’s infamous toothbrush mustache.

Amid the online uproar, the advertisement was taken down by JCPenney officials.

Much ado about nothing? Most definitely!

Fun to talk about? Absolutely!

Bad press for the already ailing JCP? Time will tell.

But one thing is clear: The “Hitler Tea Pot” could bring momentary prosperi-tea to the troubled department store. The kettles are an online sensation and have completely sold out. A JCPenney spokesperson did not know whether or not the company would manufacture more.

In the meantime, opportunists are selling their Nazi treasures on eBay for “steeped-up” prices. Sorry, I couldn’t resist!

See the picture here.

JCPenney is on the list of brands that could disappear. Read more.
