Ball girls and ball boys are on the field to take care of those foul balls. Unfortunately, when that ball is coming up the baseline, it’s moving pretty fast, and it doesn’t always give those girls and boys much time to decide what to do.

That said, here’s a video from Saturday’s spring training game in Clearwater between the Tampa Bay Rays and Philadelphia Phillies. There was a Hooter’s girl on the 3rd base line, and a fair ball came right to her-and she fielded the fair ball. It wasn’t until the young lady handed the ball to a fan that she realized what she had done, and was clearly embarrassed.
