From Mason In The Morning

Remember former NBA star Dennis Rodman? Well, he may have opened up a can of worms with “Gangnam Style” rapper PSY, during his visit to North Korea.

According to “The Hollywood Reporter,” Rodman a.k.a. “The Worm” is currently in the North Korean capital of Pyongyang, with three Harlem Globetrotter players, to film a TV show that’s set to air on HBO in April.

He raised some eyebrows on Tuesday, when he tweeted that he was hoping to “run into the Gangnam Style dude,” during his stay.

The problem is that PSY actually hails from South Korea. Those of you who know a little something about the two Asian nations’ history will understand the political differences and animosity between the two separate countries. (And I emphasize the word separate.)

Most South Koreans would be offended by Rodman’s uneducated gaffe. Being part Korean myself, I think it’s a major insult.

The rapper-turned-viral sensation weighed in the next day, tweeting the basketball player to clarify that he’s from South Korea.

Here’s the tweet:

Dennis the Menace responded by saying he’s not a politician.

He’s obviously not a geographer or a historian either.
