From Mason In The Morning

Where do you think the U.S. ranks on the list of the world’s happiest countries, according to the Legatum Institute?

I would have guessed that we were the happiest place on earth, but we’re not even in the top ten!

Here are the results in reverse order:

#10. Ireland

#9. Switzerland

#8. The Netherlands

#7. Finland

#6. Canada

#5. New Zealand

#4. Australia

#3. Sweden

#2. Denmark

#1. Norway

Researchers at the Legatum Institute looked at 142 countries. These places were ranked on 89 happiness factors in eight categories.

So where does the United States rank?

It’s at 12th place this year, slipping from 10th place, in 2012.
