I’ve had a number of dogs in my life, and not one of them would swim in a pool. And, I thought animals were natural swimmers.

My Husky gets freaked out if you try to coax him into the water, because he accidentally fell in my backyard pool when he was a puppy. However, he does like to play fetch around the outer edges of the pool, and will dunk the ball in the water. Of course, I’m the one who has to retrieve it. So, I guess you could say that he has ME trained!

Here are a couple of videos featuring pooches in the water. The first one is the “Maxwell Dog Swim Team.” These canines are very graceful… Well, except for the last one, named Murray. He marches, errr, swims to the beat of a different drummer.

Speaking of graceful, here’s an unusual dog named Kira, who is not afraid to swim with dolphins, and they don’t show any fear of her either.
