It’s Beatles Wednesday on Q105, with The Beatles twice on hour, till Midnight.

Sir George Martin-some call him the 5th Beatle, was “the boys” producer from beginning to end. From “Please, Please Me” to “Let It Be” and beyond; overseeing-to name two projects, the Grammy Award-winning Cirque du Soleil “Love” re-mixes and the digital re-mastering of the entire Beatles catalog.

His genius, I think, was in his ability to facilitate the Beatles’ creativity, translating songs and flights of fancy into iconic recordings for the ages.  Simply put, he Listened!

In this video, Sir George discusses the making of “A Day In The Life”, sharing insights to the creative process. I found it fascinating, and there are some cool pictures of Abbey Road Studios., too!  Hope you enjoy it, and Beatles Wednesday on Q105.
