After a career spanning over 40 years, Meat Loaf has decided to call it quits (as a touring artist, at least). The Texas rocker announced he will conclude touring this spring when he performs several arena shows, highlighting his hits and performing his most popular album – 1977 classic Bat Out Of Hell, which launched his career- in its entirety.

“I know the fans will enjoy the show as much as I enjoyed putting it together,” the 65-year-old singer said, admitting it was a chance for him to “bid a final goodbye to his fans.”

There are currently no dates scheduled for the States, but an announcement on Meat Loaf’s Facebook page has dates scheduled starting on April 5th and running through the 21st in Glasgow, London, Birmingham, Nottingham, Manchester and Sheffield.

This “Last at Bat” tour is expected to be his final, though Meat Loaf has made claims to ending his touring career before, doing so in 2007 before returning in 2008 and touring for Hell in a Handbasket in 2011.
