News departments at television stations become a frenzied place when something big happens. WGN-TV in Chicago was first to report a local small plane crash. They were gathering details and showing aerial footage of the crash site.
Only one problem. They were viewing a staged setting for the filming of the TV series “Chicago Fire.”
The crew does their best to laugh it off, and even pokes some fun at themselves with video of a godzilla-like creature trampling the city.
