Actor Larry Hagman, who had been diagnosed with a form of cancer over a year ago has died at the age of 81.
Sources say that he died from his battle with cancer.
The Dallas Morning News reports the actor died at a Dallas hospital with several “Dallas” costars by his bedside, including Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray.
The “Dallas” actor who played J.R. Ewing on the original show, and had reprised his role on the reboot of “Dallas” on TNT Network. The son of Broadway legend Mary Martin began his TV career in the mid-1950′s on shows including “Decoy” and “Search For Tomorrow,” but got his first major role as Major Nelson on “I Dream of Jeannie.”
The form of cancer wasn’t given, but he had been quoted as saying it was “a very common and treatable form.”
