More than two-dozen dogs are still alive, thanks to the Suncoast Animal League. The 28 dogs, including 11 young puppies, were about to be put down at shelters in Hillsborough and Pasco counties, when the animal league intervened. The league is caring for the animals, and will soon put them up for adoption.
The non-profit is hoping for donations to cover the estimated five-thousand-dollar expense of the rescue. They’re also looking for foster parents to care for the dogs until they can be adopted.
