Founding members of the Faces, guitarist Ronnie Wood and drummer Kenney Jones, will be in New York City next Wednesday (April 11) to celebrate the US retail debut of their deluxe coffee-table book titled Faces: 1969-75.
The release party will be held at the John Varvatos 315 Bowery Boutique, the spot where New York City’s legendary music club CBGB was once located.
The limited edition book, released by Genesis Publications, will include personal stories and memories from Wood, Jones and keyboardist Ian McLagan, plus over 200 photographs from the band’s inception in 1969 until their breakup in 1975. The photos have been collected from illustrious rock and roll photographers and the band’s personal archives, many of which have never been seen before.
The book will only have a limited run, and each copy will be signed by Ronnie Wood, Kenney Jones and Ian McLagan.
The release party for “Faces: 1969-75″ comes just a few days before the Faces will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on April 14, which will include a performance by the band and former frontman Rod Stewart, their first together in nineteen years.
