Both Seacrest and Fox executives say they want him to remain as host of “American Idol” after this season. But…neither side will talk publicly about whether the 11th season of Idol will be Ryan’s last with the show. There have been reports that NBC is interested in him as a replacement for Matt Lauer if Lauer leaves the “Today” show. If this is so, I wonder who would replace Ryan on the hit show that attracts thousands of viewers….
