On this Father’s Day weekend, let’s keep it simple, with some of our favorite artists and who their fathers were.

Although their son was born in South Africa, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Dave Matthews[/lastfm]‘ parents were American. When Dave was two, his father John, a physicist, relocated the family to the United States when he took a job with IBM. The family also lived for a time in England, and returned to South Africa after John’s death, when Dave was 10.
