Last.fm Trends: Buffalo Springfield Fans Get Set

Anticipation is building ahead of Buffalo Springfield‘s first public reunion show in forty years, and guitarist Richie Furay has been speaking to Rolling Stone about how it all came together.

As attention begins to turn to the band once more, the Last.fm Trends team took a look at how fans have been playing the group’s studio albums to discover which really is the favorite.

Though short-lived, Buffalo Springfield are still popular among listeners. So far some 470,055 of you have scrobbled their songs 3,344,040 times; it might not quite stack up against Neil Young‘s 28,070,234 plays, but it’s a lot higher than many current acts manage.

As far as their catalog goes though, it’s their debut that strikes the strongest note with fans. Some 64% of all of the songs played by the group are for Buffalo Springfield itself, quite an achievement for a debut.
